Annual Meeting of the Parish Council

The Annual Meeting of the Loose Parish Council takes place on the third Monday in May.  As with every council and committee meeting, members of the public are very welcome to attend.

At the Annual meeting, the Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Loose Parish Council are formally proposed and accepted onto the Council.

It is also at this meeting that the dates for the main Council meetings, plus the meetings of the various committees and sub committees are discussed and agreed, by all members present.

The Loose Parish Council itself should consist of thirteen Councillors. Currently there are a shortage of members. If you are interested in being co-opted onto the council, or would like further information on what the role entails, please click here.

In 2011, elections are due to take place for your local parish, ward and county councillors.

If the Loose Parish Council still has a shortage of members at this time or even if it just has its full complement, then  nomination papers for members will be 'returned' unapposed.  Should there be more than thirteen individuals wanting to serve on the Parish Council, then all members have to 'put themselves up' for election.
